Monthly Favourites: June
Each month Positive Luxury rounds-up our favourite picks from around the web. It’s a sneak peak into the worlds and minds of our team – from what we’ve been reading to what’s inspired us!
We’ve been inspired by… the outfits from Ascot
Unfortunately, none of the team got to head to Ascot this year, but that hasn’t stopped us from admiring the outfits of those lucky racegoers. Jumpsuits were added to the dress code for the first time this year (if that doesn’t confirm a trend we don’t know what does), yet as always it was the hats that got us talking!
We’ve been drinking… Belvedere Vodka’s Sunset Spritz
There’s been a little heatwave in the UK towards the end of June that had us searching for something cooling to quench our thirst come the evening. Enter Belvedere Vodka’s Sunset Spritz! A delicious combination of Belvedere, Fortified Wine, Sparkling and Tonic Water, this refreshing tipple is garnished with grapefruit and thyme for a fragrant finish. Highly recommended!
We’ve been reading… Gabriela Hearst in Vogue
It’s always a pleasure to see one of our #brandstotrust celebrated for their sustainability efforts, so we were delighted to read this Vogue interview with Gabriela Hearst. The article is focused on the fabrics behind her collections – from the deadstock or recycled materials used, to the aloe-treated linen that moisturises your skin while you wear it.
We tried… Reiki Healing with The Sacred Self
Over to Catherine for this one… “The moment I walked in The Sacred Self I felt an immediate sense of tranquillity and calm. After a brief introduction to Reiki, Shaylini started the healing treatment. Her magical hands journeyed down my body making stops where the energy was most palpable. I felt relaxed and at ease. At times, my body temperature would rise, particularly around the stomach, knee and back. Afterwards I felt pleasantly tired and rejuvenated with a new-found sense of inner peace.”
You can find Shaylini every Tuesday at the Third Space Spa in Marylebone, plus she works as a visiting practitioner for a number of worldwide luxury resorts.
We’ve booked tickets to… The Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition
The Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition is a unique exhibition among the art world and a highlight of our cultural year! It is the largest open submission exhibition in the world, hanging over 1,200 works by both established and lesser-known artists. The large variety of works on show means there is something to suit every taste – and with many of the items for sale you might find yourself lucky enough to take a piece home too!
