DAY 1. ARRIVAL IN GALICIA
Your trip begins in Meaño, a small village located in Rías Baixas, at Quinta San Amaro, a top Rusticae hotel with excellent service and personalized attention. Nacho, owner of this estate and an extraordinary connoisseur of the region, will be your host on arrival. After settling in comfortably, you will enjoy a fantastic dinner in the hotel’s restaurant, directed by its international chef Julio Ouviña.
DAY 2. PAZO DE RUBIANES & CAMBADOS
Your second day begins gathering strength with a superb breakfast at Quinta San Amaro, visiting afterwards Pazo de Rubianes in the morning, a traditional Galician estate where you can walk through its centenary gardens of spectacular camellias and visit its cellar, including a tasting of the best Galician Albariño wines. You will then move to Cambados, a beautiful coastal village, where you will enjoy a Michelin Star lunch at the famous Yayo Daporta’s restaurant. Please, bear in mind that it closes on Mondays.
DAY 3. RUTA DA PEDRA E AUGA & COMBARRO
After starting the day as usual with a power breakfast at Quinta San Amaro, Rusticae challenge you to complete part of a St James Way stage. It runs along the Ruta da Pedra e Auga, you will walk for approximately 2 hours. Please, remember to wear comfortable shoes; a light raincoat or umbrella is also advisable. The hotel will provide you with a gourmet snack for the road.
DAY 4. "TRASLATIO"
Enjoy your last breakfast at Quinta San Amaro! You will start the trip towards Vilanova de Arousa, where you will embark on a boat to evocate "La Traslatio", the original trip by sea of ??the Apostle Santiago beheaded body from Jerusalem to Galicia. An aperitif will be served on board. From Pontecesures to Padrón, there is a small section of the road where you will have the opportunity to walk (barely 3 km) following the original steps of the Apostle’s body. In the afternoon, you will visit the village and Rosalía de Castro’s home, Galician literature’s most important female writer. Finally, Santiago de Compostela! You will stay at the Altaïr or Moure hotel, both run by the Liñares family, magnificent hosts.
DAY 5. FINALLY SANTIAGO!
Your day starts at Altaïr or at Moure with a good breakfast, followed by a quality city visit escorted by a knowledgeable guide. Of course, the Obradoiro Cathedral is a must, but there are many other emblematic places in this magical city.
DAY 6. END OF ROUTE
You are reaching the end of our trip, enjoy a very special breakfast that will remind you of everything you’ve seen in Galicia: nature, gastronomy, culture, art and tradition.

The “Traslatio” schedule depends on the tides; it will take place in the morning or in the afternoon, adapting the other activities accordingly. Being an outdoors sea related experience, possibility of inclement weather must also be considered, so the boat trip could be cancelled for safety reasons.
Due to availability constraints, Rusticae has the right to replace the listed hotels with others of similar characteristics in the area.
Some of the activities can be replaced by similar ones, depending on the day of the week or season.
