PREDICTIONS REPORT 2020 LAUNCHED WITH A PANEL OF INDUSTRY THOUGHT LEADERS

On Tuesday, 21 January, we officially launched our 2020 Predictions Report: Decoding the Next Decade of Change. The report, which can be downloaded here, is focused on nature and the collective action needed to reverse the impact of climate change and protect our world. The Report includes input from thought leaders like Tanya Steele, CEO of WWF-UK, Paul Polman, Co-founder and Chair at Imagine, and Paul Hawken, author of Natural Capitalism.
The launch event was held at Brown’s Hotel in London, and was anchored by an insightful panel discussion. The speakers were Iris Van der Veken, Director at the Responsible Jewellery Council; Mark Ferguson, Partner and CO-CIO, Global Equity Strategy at Generation Investment Management; and Mark Haviland, EVP of Brand Development & Sustainability at Rakuten.
Iris Van der Veken acknowledged the importance of the next ten years, stating that it is “a decade of trust and radical transparency and we’ll only be able to do that in partnership.” Mark Haviland added that, “if we as individuals have a purpose, the organisations we work for might adopt that purpose. You can be a warrior for purpose within your own organisation.” Mark Ferguson said that giving up us not an option and that “we can’t just cast aside future generations because we’ve decided it’s too late.” Michelle de Klerk, the Founder and Director of The Women’s Chapter was our moderator and Irene Forte, Wellness Director at Rocco Forte Hotels and founder of Irene Forte Skincare, closed the discussion.
