Founded by entrepreneur Amy Holmwood and actor and environmentalist, Woody Harrelson, the Holistic Spirits Co. combines science, nature, and artisanal distillation to create innovative spirits that elevate the palate and the planet. At Origen Holistic Spirits, they're setting a new standard for what it means to drink responsibly. With a commitment to sustainability, transparency, and innovation, their certifications reflect the heart of their mission: to create premium spirits that nourish both people and the planet. From inception in 2023, the brand has committed to environmental practices and mindful approaches, partnering with responsible producers like the certified organic McClintock Distilling Company and the zero-waste Griffo Distillery and sourcing GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) polyphenol-rich plant compounds and ingredients. Both Harmony Gin and Origen Specialty Vodka are carbon neutral and produced in the USA at USDA green-certified distilleries that prioritise eco-friendly practices, such as reducing water usage, recycling by-products, and implementing no-water-waste processes. Additionally, the company partners with ForestPlanet to plant one tree for every bottle sold or sampled, contributing to global reforestation efforts. Holistic Spirits Co. is also a proud member of 1% For The Planet, a global network that connects businesses with environmental organisations to drive positive change for both people and the planet.

Key initiatives include donating spent grain mash to local farmers for animal feed, repurposing gin botanicals for culinary use, and composting organic waste. By sourcing local, organic-certified grains, the supplier reduces transportation emissions and supports sustainable farming. Holistic Spirits Co. asks that suppliers meet strict waste management standards, ensuring hazardous waste is disposed of responsibly. In the 30 years I’ve been a vegan, I’ve always wondered when someone was going to make alcohol that’s less harmful to the body. After meeting Amy and trying the Origen Specialty Vodka, I knew I had to help introduce it to the world. A product that’s delicious and made sustainably, it was a no-brainer.
